Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us"), and the company that creates a Snowlawna workspace ("you"), covering the use of Snowlawna, a service for lawn care and snow removal businesses. By creating a workspace or signing in, you accept them on behalf of your company.
1. Accounts and workspaces
The person who signs up becomes the owner of the company's workspace. Owners and admins decide who else may sign in and with which role, and are responsible for everything done in the workspace.
People sign in with a one-time code sent to their email address or with a passkey. Keep your email account and devices secure, and remove people who should no longer have access.
2. Your data and your customers' data
You keep ownership of the information you put into Snowlawna: your clients, contracts, quotes, routes, jobs and the rest. We process it on your behalf to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any consent required to collect and use your customers' information in Snowlawna, including their phone numbers and email addresses for alerts.
3. Drivers and location tracking
The driver app shares a driver's GPS location with your workspace while they are on shift, so you can dispatch, see estimated arrival times, record visits and send customer alerts. You must tell your drivers about this tracking before they use the app, obtain any consent the law requires, and follow the employment and privacy laws that apply to monitoring employees and contractors (for example a written electronic monitoring policy where your province requires one).
Do not use location data for any purpose other than running your operations, and do not track anyone outside their working hours.
4. Messages to your customers
Snowlawna can send quotes, and "move your car" alerts before a snow visit and when a driver is near, by email and text message on your behalf. Only turn alerts on for customers who asked for them, honour opt-out requests (such as a reply of STOP) promptly, and comply with anti-spam law, including Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no unlawful content, no attempts to break, overload or probe it, no access to other companies' workspaces, and no reselling without our written agreement. We may limit or suspend access that puts the service or other customers at risk.
6. Third-party services
Snowlawna relies on providers such as Supabase (database and driver sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Google Maps Platform (routing), Twilio (text messages), Resend (email) and Sentry (error monitoring). Maps, imagery and routes come from third parties and may be inaccurate; measurements from satellite imagery are estimates, not surveys.
7. Trials, plans and fees
New workspaces start with a free trial. Paid plans, including pricing per truck or vehicle, will be offered in the app before the trial ends, under [PRICING AND PAYMENT TERMS]. Nothing is charged without your explicit agreement to a plan.
8. Availability and support
We work to keep Snowlawna available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Contact [SUPPORT EMAIL] for help.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to [LIABILITY CAP, e.g. the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim].
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Snowlawna at any time. On request we will export your workspace data and then delete it, within [DELETION PERIOD], except where the law requires us to keep it.
11. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of [PROVINCE OF GOVERNING LAW] and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. We will tell workspace owners about material changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
